My situation is that I have deleted some clips in my project, thus leaving big "holes" in time. There is probably an easy way to just move the remaining clips to fill-in the time, but I'm not that advanced. I just needed to remove the holes created when I deleted clips.
Just curious, what is Auto-Ripple ? Is it specifically for removing time ? Like I said, I'm not that advanced and would like to learn.
Thanks again for your help ! I really appreciate it !
Auto ripple will automatically close any gaps THAT YOU CREATE. Most people work with it off unless they need it and then they turn it back off again as it can create havoc if you don't want everything moved . You can double click and highlight a 'blank spot' and then delete it and if auto ripple is one it will close it. There are scipts available that will automatically close all blank spots in one move.
note: However scripts do not work in the Studio versions.
Right - and with your empty "holes" just switch Auto Ripple on and with the cursor draw the edge of the first media after the empty space to cover the empty space - and you will see, that all media to the end moves also.
Note that Auto Ripple has 3 modes, that you may chose in the drop down menu just to the right of the AR button.
