demultiplex line alternate 3D in Vegas 20

I have an old 3D video shot on a DV camcorder with a frontal prism. The encoding is line alternate of each side of the stereo image. I wish to produce a side by side 3D file from this for restoration purposes. Is there any simple way to render out to two progressive files whilst using only the upper field for one file and then the lower field for the next? Thanks .. it's a simple thing but I cannot seem to do it.

I suppose another way to look at it is something that will enable me to convert a line alternate 3D video to a side by side 3D video?

After you load the clip to your timeline it should be as simple as setting its media properties to line alternate and setting your project properties to side-by-side. This can be done by selecting the clip on the timeline or in the project media tab.

Once you tell Vegas that the media is 3D and its 3D format it can switch freely between the other 3D formats.

One problem I've seen in other threads is if the input file has been digitized in a way that "flattens" the line alternate format into a 480p video, for example.

I have done as suggested, put the interlaced file into Vegas Pro, set the properties as alternate field 3D and then rendered out to side by side 3D successfully. MANY thanks. The wonder of Vegas!
