Deshaker

Where can I find codec's for Virtual Dub that can be used with Deshaker, for the life of me I cannot seem to get deshaker to work for me, I see examples on you tube and that footage seems much worse than mine but when I run it on my footage it is still really shaky. When I go to select a compressor I have a very short list and need more codecs I think.

I currently use the free Canopus codecs. You can also use the latest free Cineform that comes with GoPro Studio. I swiched to Canopus when an earlier version of Cineform stopped working in Vegas (fixed now).

I doubt the Codec used will be the main source of unsuccessful deshaking. What are you using for smoothness? The default is 1000/1000/1000/1000 (Horizontal/Vertical/Rotation/Zoom), try 4000/4000/4000/0.
