Deshaker creating solid black footage

I've had this problem in the past and haven't found any answers online:

I have a short project with a few clips of Deshaker applied to them. They all work fine except for this one clip. When I pre-render or render the footage, it comes out solid black. I've tried dropping the footage back in from the trimmer and re-applying the deshaker, but I always get the same thing. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Do I have a file in the wrong spot or something?

Yes, I've done that too. Check the assignment of the deshaker log file. Unfortunately you get no warning if this is wrong, and if not accessible you get just black.

How do I go about doing that?

I ended up trying it in a new project and it works...but as soon as I speed up the footage, it won't render properly, so I rendered it at normal speed and then imported that, speed that up, then rendered it back out (to .avi).

There are some threads on this concerning Vista 64. You have to open the script in notepad and change the 6 log points to a different location I believe.

If you are using DeShaker through VirtualDub: go to video/filters, double click DeShaker to open its interface and on the LHS you see the location of the log file.
