Designating Keyframes w/ Quicktime Render

I recently upgraded to Vegas 3 and soon realized when I go to export my projects in the .mov format, the render dialogue box does not allow me to set the key frames myself (the box is checked, but dim, and the rate says "auto"). Anyone else having this problem? I tend to think this is a combination problem between QT 5 and Vegas 3 talking to eachother but I'm not sure. Thanks.

You can change the keyframe interval with some, but not all QT compression types.

Try selecting "Animation"- you should see the keyframe every... checkbox light up.

What if I am trying to render it with Sorenson or Sorenson 3? When did Vegas stop allowing you to designate the keyframes for those 2 codecs? It was working until recently. UGGGGHHH....

I don't believe keyframe spacing control was enabled for Sorenson in Vegas 2 or 3. Are you sure you were able to adjust this in Vegas 2?

I'm positive. I know I must sound nuts, but It was a template I had created and used for a long time to get my stuff on the web.

If auto keyframes are turned on in the Sorenson custom dialog, you can not edit the key frame interval. You could at one time, but you ended up getting the auto keyframes chosen by Sorenson as well as the keyframes at specific intervals. Usually this was more keyframes than you really wanted. Now, when you turn on auto keyframes in the Sorenson page, you only get auto keyframes. If you really want keyframes at a specific interval, click on the "config" button and turn off auto keyframes... then you will be able to set the keyframe interval back on the main dialog.
