Device Explorer

I recently purchased a Sony PMW 350 and I am trying to import the files from the SxS card using Device Explorer in Vegas 11. In the Device Explorer Window I can see the SxS card on the left but on the right side I don't see any clips.

In Windows Explorer I can see the BPAV/ CLPR etc... folders. I can also see the 2gB avi files that I am trying to stitch together.

Any thoughts why I can't see the clips in Device Explorer?

If you can't get it to work, use the software that came with your camera.
Windows Explorer may not give you good results at file boundaries.

I installed the software that came with camera "Content Browser" However that does not stitch together clips. It brings the video file in as a MXF file.

My client is still stuck in the Standard Definition World, up until recently they have switched over to widescreen. Blu Ray, hi res videos are not appealing to them. Yeah we won't get into that!

Basically my client wants to walk away with a 1.5 hour video clip in standard def for archival purposes.

Since the Content Browser does not stitch the videos together, I've been bringing in the clips to vegas 11 and exporting it as on large avi. My client is frustrated due to the fact that with Sony NX5U I was able to run the SD card through the "Content Management Software" stitch the clips together and then transfer the file to their external hard drive the same day. Now they have to wait a day until I've pieced the clips together then export.
