Difference between Vegas Audio and Video?

Vegas Audio is a subset of Vegas Video.

Vegas Audio includes far fewer video features, but is well suited to audio post for video production. The video editing and compositing features of Vegas Video are not in Vegas Audio.

Simply put, if you plan on editing video, buy Vegas Video. If you plan on recording/editing audio, or working on audio post for video, Vegas Audio should work just fine.
