Difficulty Ungrouping audio

Ross wrote on 4/29/2012, 7:29 PM
I am trying to delete audio from an event. I tried ignore grouping button but that does not seem to work. I tried clear grouping - it seems to work but when I select the audio and hit delete, the video is also deleted. I am sure this was working in the past. I am using version 595 64 bit.
Has anybody else had this problem recently?
Thanks
Ross

Are you confusing Track Grouping with grouped AV events and right-clicking the headers ?

Instead, to ungroup an AV event, use right-click-the event and Group|Remove From

I was using the event group. I had not checked the track grouping but fount that there was no track grouping either. so it is still a problem.
Thanks for your reply

OK, to try and track down what's happening, what is the filetype of the AV event ?

Can you ungroup the audio off other AV events (maybe try a WMV or something similar you may have lying around).

I checked various formats - some worked some didn't
Then I went back to the original format and guess what it worked.
The original format was a m2ts format from a Sony video camera.
It has 5 track dolby sound.
Anyway, I spent a lot of time fooling with this so would like to know what would make it stop working then suddenly work again.
Thanks for your help.
