Digidesign's Wave / asio drivers issues

Hi there

I'm using SF 7.0 and CD architect 5 with a digi 002 interface, and I have little issues when using them.

1- CD architect "freezes" during playback (When I hit spacebar too quickly...)

2- The only "audio devices" appearing in the options menu are "Microsoft sound mapper" and other microsoft-related options (No "Digidesign 002 wave driver" appearing...) To me, it looks like CDA only support audio devices through Windows only (is any Microsoft Soundmapper bypass possible?????)

3- In Sound Forge 7.0 , DIGI 002 appears only as a playback device... NOTHING shows up in the "RECORDING DEVICE" drop down list (Preferences menu)

Anybody encountered this?

Thanks!

I have seen this too with Digi Wavedrivers and CDA5 on my TDM and LE systems.
I reported it but Digi was not able to reproduce. What version of Wavedrivers are you using?
Please e-mail Digi support with your system specs, OS, and step by step on how to reproduce this problem.

No you do not have a recording Wavedriver.

Sorry I wasn't able to help.

In order for CDA to see and use the Digi wave drivers, the drivers must be told that CDA can "use them". If you run regedit and then locate the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Digidesign\MME Driver Bindings

Look the entry WaveAllowProcesses

Make sure that the CDA executable is part of this list.

Go to the Digidesign web site and download a free little app called MMEHelper. It provides a nice interface for adding executables to the registry key listed in the post above.
