Amongst a show-and-compare article about "which ofers the best for the future" . . the last paragraph on Vegas it makes the point that Sony manufactures the broadcast/post level editing system - Xpri - and that at present it appears they come from two different companies . . .er, well yes they do. But what IS the point this reviewer is making? Is it that the "features" or approach of Xpri should be shared amongst the Vegas suite OR the other way around? . .interesting . .

Anyways the reviewer gave it 4/5 . . it was a comparison review dealing with the options avaialble at present opportunities for the future ... interesting, get yer mits on it ..

It might appear they come from two different companies but you can take a Vegas project into XPRI via XML. From the little I know about this that's a much more powerful way to go than importing an EDL.

Only thing that could be a concern is it seems Sony are producing scaled down versions of XPRI similar to ExpressDV, I don't quite know what happens when the XPRI and Vegas worlds collide but then I don't know enough about XPRI to really comment but it sure has some sexy control surfaces, wonder if they'll work with Vegas. Probably they would as they're only USB devices, hmm!
