Digital 8 Deck?

I have a tape deck question....
Is there a deck specifically designed to play back digital 8 tapes? I've been using my camera for playback, but I'm looking for other possibilities.
My Hi-8 deck will only play them back if I recorded the footage in the Hi-8 format and not the digital 8 format.

Sony still makes a model called the Digital8 Video Walkman VCR GV-D800 but the list price is $900 US. I'm sure you can find it cheaper elsewhere but it's probably still cheaper to find a D8 camcorder.

It's cheper to get one of the Sony D8 camera's. you can probably find an older model for less than $500.
