I just recieved in the mail a catalog from DigitalJuice (www.digitaljuice.com). I'm not quite sure how they my address (Sonic Foundry - are you selling your registration lists?) but anyhow its a neat magazine. They sell a couple of different JumpBack sets that feature some really neat overlays. For examples you can visit their web site. I was just wondering if anyone has ever used any of thier stuff? And if so, what do think about it?

Unfortunally, I'm just in this as a hobby and can't afford their "Professional Quality" sets. Does anybody know of similar "Hobby Quailty" sets?

Thanks,
Don Sanders

dsanders,

I just bought and downloaded the Wedding Motion and all three Corporate Motion sets from http://www.3dbackgrounds.com. I have yet to use them since I've been to busy to do much editing this week, but I can't wait to overlay some text or video windows over them and finally look professional.

These backgrounds aren't exactly the same level as Digital Juice, but they're also not anywhere near the cost.

I also have received their mag and really would love to have their stuff if I could afford it. Another alternative is to check our www.elitevideo.com. They have some pretty cool stuff also and not quite as expensive.

I just purchased their professional series for a whooping $XXXX (Back Traxx, Professional Set and the wedding set). Pleae advised though that these comes in DVD (this is the reason why they're giving away free internal DVD if purchasing any of the professional series or you can upgrade to an external firewire DVD for $75.00). The software thouogh needs to be "re-composed" depending on your output format. In other words, these are not ready made video graphics that you can simply import in VV or any other NLE programs. This is the only setback though as I am very satisfied with the program.

I have JumpBacks, Back Traxs and and the Editors Tool Kit. They have paid for themselves many times when I have to reach for a solution. They are not my only libs of graphics and music. They are the best quality of the ones I have though. The render process, with the Juicer suxs, but it is truely cross platform.

As a hobbist I could not justify the cost though.
