digitizing vhs thru which vcr

I presently have many VHS home video's (in new condition) that I'd like to convert to digital and edit in Vegas.
My question is...should I use a good VHS VCR or a good SVHS VCR to play back the video into the A/D converter? Considering that they are all recorded on a VHS camcorder. Would a SVHS VCR give me better results?
Thanks!

Maybe just a little bit better, most SVHS VCRs have S-Video out which MAY help just a little. Probably not much else you can do to help. If your VHS tapes are a bit wobbly on the syncs then the ADVC-300 with its TBC would help as will the DNR.

SVHS VCR's also normaly have some extras that can help in playback (image stabilization, etc).
