DirectX 9c

I installed Doom3 on my system last week and it updated my OS to DirectX 9b. I decided to check out Microsoft's directx web site and found that they are currently distributing 9c. Anyone using 9c on their systems with a Vegas 5 install and if so, any problems?

Excellent. I've just finished downloading and installing it and so far, so good. Now if can just get up the courage to go for the XP SP2 update ;-)

I'd avoid SP2 like the plague. Especially if you're using a 1394b (800 Mb/sec) card. SP2 firewire drivers limit the bandwidth to 400!! Nice touch M$!!

I've still got DX 9.0b. Why? Becuase I don't know if c will actuatly imporove anything (I got D3 too).

The only thing I use DX for besides games is surround sound in Vegas. But, that likes to crash often (when using keyboard jog mostly). Does anyone with DX9c notice if that happens?
