Disc Analyzer

Does anyone know of a freeware software program that could analyize a disc for errors such as skipping or signs that the dvd burner needs to be replaced?

Nero's CD-DVD Speed has a couple of tests, including a scan disk function that will reveal damaged and bad areas. You can get it here: http://www.cdspeed2000.com/download.html
