DISC At ONCE

Hi All!

I'm burning some wave files from the vegas time line using Disc-at-once, and I'm finding a 1/3 of the discs have the tracks and times listed, but wont play anymusic.

has anyone seen this beofre, and has anyone got any ideas on why this is happening?

The CD Media is pretty cheap, $34 AUD for a 100. Would this be a factor?

Andy

Suggest use only 'real' brand media (not CD-Quickie-Cheapi, Imation, or similar label brands), preferably Phthalocyanine.

Also ensure your wrier firmware is updated.

I always slow down the burn speed a notch or two regardless of which CD-R media I am using (do I "really" need all that speed unless I am burning 50+ copies?)

The rationale: Media and burner manufacturers always stretch their advertised specs a little beyond the reliable and a little closer to the "ideal" in order to outsell the competition (case in point: those "2000W RMS" car stereo amps in a package the size of a textbook -- yeah, right).

I buy whatever's on sale, burn at 24X, and I get my coasters at import, not office supply stores.

I just bought a box of 30 Maxcell CD-R's yesterday [ colored ones ],
all of the blue ones gave me burn errors and would not burn, the rest burned but played back with some crackling and scratchy sounds, Never had that problem with Maxcell before, I will not be buying them again.
