Does anyone know if the number contained in an audio file name is the disc ID that can be used to find out what CD it was extracted from?
I am trying to determine what CD I extracted audio files from. I am missing some of my audio files (i.e. wav files) and I am going to have to extract them again.
I originally extracted the wav files by used the menu option "Extract audio from CD..." and left the default filename it provided (e.g. CD9999999999-TRACK01-1.wav). Is there a way to determine which CD it came from by cross-referencing the number contained in the filename to a CD catalog?
I was guessing that part of the filename was the disc id (after converting the number from the file name from decimal to hexadecimal). I tried using the number search for the CD on the following web site: www.freedb.org, but I did not find a CD.
