Well here's a cool problem for all you technophobes. I was reading some of the posts on this forum regarding the Ipod ad and how it was made. I D/L'ed from the apple website to have a look.
I D/L'ed the file "apple_ipod+itunes-lock_m640.mov" onto my F: drive and tried to play it. It started playing then broke up, pixelated and quit with the afforementioned windows error.

AppName: quicktimeplayer.exe AppVer: 6.5.2.10 ModName: quicktimempeg4.qtx
ModVer: 6.5.2.10 Offset: 0000f988

My system is top end gear running Windows XP Pro (Grin) SATA Raid (mirrored) with 2 * 200gig (E: & F:) 133 ATA as backups. Double layer DVD writer. The F: drive (write cache disabled) is one of the 200gig ata's.

Now here's the strange thingie; if I copy the file to my master SATA (C:) drive and run the movie it's fine OK.

Can't figure this out. Before I write to Apple re: Quicktime I thought I would spin it past you guy's and gal's.

Any ideas

regards
