Display file name on video?

Is this possible?
Ideally at a media level, to show the file name as a lower third, (or in middle of screen, doesnt matter).
Hoping for a script or FX that may do it.

I've requested this "feature" on the features request years ago... All I want to see are the media names on the timeline rather than R/Clicking the media selecting properties then close the window... what a PITA! (:

Ctrl+shift+i is the shortcut.
