Display of videos (MOV, MP4 & more) corrupt

Hi,

I just purchased Vegas Pro 19.0, and recently got myself a new PC

AMD Ryzen 7 4800H / Radeon Graphics 2.90 GHz / RAM: 16 GB

Drivers are up to date

When importing a video (or opening old projects) at first the video thumbnails are showing correct, but after a few seconds they start distorting, flickering and showing wrong colors (see pic). Same effect in the tracks and the preview

All other files (pictures, text, audio) are not affected in any way.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

Cheers

There have been a number of reports of issues with Radeon Graphics. Can you go to help/driver update and see if there is a new driver version available? If not, try the AMD website and search for your CPU.

Went to AMD website, found my CPU, installed it ... and now it's working!

Thanks a lot!

For video editors that 8 core cpu better paired with 1650ti, the integrated graphics not ideal for a new purchase

1650ti is for laptops though - what about desktops?

You have a desktop with a 4800H?

Indeed

1660ti would be the minimum card I'd want to get, buy more expensive based on budget

1650 Super is for desktops- anything like that or better would be fine for Vegas, though pricing and availability of GPUs is a problem.

Good to know -- thanks!
