Distorted audio from Clip Browser 2.0

Hello.
All clips brought into Vegas Pro 8C on my PC via Clip Browser 2.0 show distorted, unusable audio in Vegas. Audio is fine in-camera (XDCAM EX-1) and when played back in Clip Browser 2.0, but will not play correctly in Vegas after clips are unwrapped. Audio waveform shows as intermittent spikes of sound, and audio playback sounds the same as it looks in the waveform, intermittent spikes of audio with long gaps in between.

CB 1.0 works well with clips of short duration, good audio and video, however with longer clips of 40 min. and longer, part of the clip exhibits proper audio and part of the same clip does not. Original camera files brought into the Premiere CS3 timeline play perfectly.

I've been back and forth with Vegas tech support for 6 months. They are sympathetic, and have tried to help me, but no one seems able to fix the problem.

Anyone with any ideas about this, please post or contact me via email.
Many thanks.

Marc

Hi Marc,
Have the same problem when shooting at 720 60P mode with my EX1. I also contacted tech support and they have been quick and helpful but unfortunately they are not able to fix this problem at this time. The only alternative so far is to use CB 1.0.

HI,
Thanks for your response. Does the problem persist when shooting in, let's say, 1920x1080i?

Download Clip Browser 2.00.01 to resolve audio problem.

Hi,
I can't find that version of clip browser anywhere. I requested its location from MainConcept and they sent me a link to 2.00.00.438. Please give me a link to the updated browser. Many thanks!
