DivX input - can it work?

I rendered to a DivX file from Vegas, and now Vegas can't recognize it. Anyone figured out how to get Vegas to decode it? I tried unchecking "ignore 3rd party DV codecs".

I'm using the codec from DivX, not xvid or ffdshow.

DV is not DivX, so that checkbox has nothing to do with it.

I use DivX all the time for both source and destination. Make sure you have the latest DivX codec installed. I know Vegas didn't work well with it until later releases of version 5. I've got version 6.8.2 installed.
