Do I need to re-render?

I have 2 mpeg2 projects rendered for svcd and are ready to go. I want to put the 2 projects together into one project just by putting them back to back in a new project timeline. Will I have to re-render the new project into a mpeg-2 svcd ntsc compliant file, or can I just save it and then burn it? I will not be adding any new items to either of the projects

Vegas will re-render. Infact, the finished re-render will look MUCH worse then the origional 2. This is because it's re-compressing the compressed files. Sorry.

If all you want is to join, nothing else, you should be able to with TEMPGnc. I think so anyways. Its been a couple years since I used it.

I just went into Ahead/Nero 6 on advice from this column to author SVCDs. I am extremely pleased. You render out to .avi from Vegas, add the files to the Nero "SCVD wizard," get to add menu page with a variety of button options and text, complete with background music, and BURN. Nero transcribes the .avi into Mpeg2, and burns it. The first go around takes a while, but subsequent copies can be burned in a few minutes and/or saved. http://www.ahead.de/us/631939541422774.php#
