Do M-Audio Beta 5.10.0.27 drivers fix SF programs 16bit 44k ceiling in W2k?

I noticed that M-Audio has beta drivers for their Delta cards (ver. 5.10.0.27) posted on their site. Their note mentions that the drivers address MME and Win2k issues. Do these drivers fix the current SF programs limitation of 16bit 44k recording with Win2k and WDM?

Thanks.

No. The 24 bit limitation/problem is a bug in Win2000. MS is working on the fix for SP3.

No, other than the older MAudio drivers didn't support the packed 24 bit data format it seems. The WinXP kmixer does not truncate 24 bit to 16 bit. It can also correctly record 24 bit at sample rates greater(or less than) 44.1 kHz.

Hello,

The Driver is great other than that, I have 5ms lower latency with this driver and no other problems so far.

See ya, Rockit
