Do Proejcts settings affect graphics only prex

I need to make a DVD of a graphics only presentation, using Photoshop files.

Do the project settings matter for the end result of an NTSC 4 x 3 DVD?

Will the MPEG files always be created from the uncompressed graphics, irregardless of the project settings?

I hope my question makes sense.

I'm trying very hard not to notice the non-word "irregardless." Anyway....

I believe the settings you want are NTSC DV (in Vegas).

Your Photoshop files could be saved as .png (or .jpg, but may lose some quality), and should be at least 655x480 (from what I've read on these forums).

The MPEG rendering will be generated from whatever files you're importing into the Vegas timeline. Maybe the key word there is "rendered." Vegas will convert your images to the final frame output size as needed.

I am using the Photoshop files as Photoshop files. I was just wanting to make sure that Vegas would not convert the graphics to a DV compressed first and then render to MPEG from that.

irregardless is considered non-standard, but is in the dictionary. Apparently a combination of irrespective and regardless.

Yeah, Vegas doesn't touch your original files (ever). It's a non-destructive editor. I can't think of any time that Vegas would do anything to your actual source files. So, no worries!
