Vegas 3.0 and Sound Forge 5.0 work fine under Windows XP as far as I know. I haven't heard of any problems.

I use both under XP on an Athlon based system and they both work great. In fact, they work much better under XP then they did under ME imo.

WinXP Pro
PIII 1Ghz
512MB
ASUS CUSL2-C
Delta 66 (WDM .26 drivers)
Vegas Video 3.0
ACID 3.0f
SF 5.0f (using in W2K compatibility mode, won't open in XP)

Other than having to use 5.0f(didn't happen in 5.0e) in W2K compatibilty mode
everything seems to be working fine.

I use a regular old SoundBlaster card mostly because it has lots of jacks on the back and they are inexpensive. I never like the ones on the motherboards, but I don't know why, they just sound crackly (highly technical term). Most of the stuff I do ends up on VHS tape so sound is not a major issue for me.

Neither Sound Forge 5.0f nor Vegas 3.0 detects CD drives if the user has a Limited account.
