Do you get the same results?

Open the text/background window and drop the preset 'heavy outline' onto the timeline. Then render the clip to avi with 'DV PAL' setting and then do the same again with the 'uncompressed' setting. Now compare those two videoclips. Do you have the same deterioration in the DV-Clip (looks like it's switched the even and odd fields)?

Nope, doesn't.
Did you try it yourself?
Have a try and you'll see what I mean.

I've seen that before when playing the file in Windows Media Player. It looks like it's trying do deinterlace something that doesn't need deinterlacing. Firewire preview and other players are fine though.

Unfortunately it also looks bad over firewire and blayback to the camera provides the same bad result.
Did you try it? If so, where both titles of same quality?

Hmm, so I have to live with it? That's strange as one cannot see any deterioration in normal video. As long as I use white text, the title is fine. So I cannot make use of coloured titles...(?!)
