Does 655x480 still also apply for DVDA?

Sometimes a bit of a stretch of a still pic is not quite noticeable on TV, so I'm just wondering if this sizing for NTSC (655x480) is also good for DVDA if I want to put a still picture for the menu background. Thanks guys!

Does that 655x480 still apply with Photoshop 8 CS - it has a template for NTSC DV 720x480 with aspect ratio

654x480 assumes 1.0000 PAR (square pixels)
720x480 assumes 0.9091 PAR

If you can generate a 720x480 image with 0.9091 PAR then it should work fine.

655x480 is what Vegas recommends for NTSC stills because it handles the aspect ratio change internally.
