Does a Slideshow need film look effects applied?

I see the film look script applied to DV footage, but if I just have some digital stills with panning/cropping movement, would my production still benefit from the script?

That depends ... on whether it would or wouldn't. It may look better depending on what your source images are; it may not. It may look better depending on your expectations; it may not. It may look better depending on what monitor/tv/projector you view it on; it may not. It may look better depending on who is looking at it; it may not.

Basically it comes down to trying it and seeing if you like it or not.
