I really need help with this, does anyone know how i would speed a clip up? For example, someone said i clip on properties? is that right? what do i do from there? please help, beginner user, thanks alot
The absolute simplest thing to do is to put your cursor on the right edge of the clip, and when the cursor changes into a double-headed arrow in a box, hold the Ctrl key and the mouse button down and drag the end of the clip to the left. This will "squish" the clip on the screen. The more you squish it, the faster it will play. You can also stretch it out the same way to make it play slower.
Also if you want the audio to be unaffected you can click on the clip you want to speed up and press U. This will separate audio from video. You can then "squish" the video as Kelly said, and the audio will be left alone. I often do this when I create two adjacent clips, one I speed up, the other I slow down, the audio remains the same
