Please provide more info:

What version of DVDA are you using, including the release letter (1.0c, 1.0d, 2.0, 2.0a, 2.0b)?

What brand / model DVD writer are you using?

How is the drive connected? IDE, firewire, USB, smething else?

Do you have media in the drive when you try to access it with DVDA or is the drive empty? If there's a disc in, what brand and type?

I am having the same problem with DVD Arch not detecting my dvd drive... I have a LITE-ON SOHW-812S I even updated to 2.0b cause i saw it had some fixes for various drives...but mine wasnt in this fix apparently. Any suggestions???? I love this prog and just gonna hate if i finally found a great prog to make a dvd from avi using just ONE program...and not be able to do the last step... burning.... hate to use Nero just for the purpose of the prog should work regardless... its expensive enough.. it should... lol any suggestions please let me know... Thanks..

I have a LITE on 411 which used to be invisible to DVDA if it had a DVD-R but ok with a DVD+R.

Since the last update it now works with both media types.

It is an annoyance, but no big deal - until this fix I used Record Now DX to burn, and still do if I want to include documents or other files on the DVD.

Well, I can replicate DVDA not seeing a LiteOn with DVD-R with the LDW-451s but it works fine with any flavor of +. Weird. . .
