Does Pioneer DVR-A03 work with Vegas(cd burning)

I was considering picking up one of these for backup.It would also be used for cd burning.Does it work with Vegas 3?

Never had a coaster yet. DVD or CD-R, but the only time I burned CDs with the Pioneer was over the holidays when my Plextor took a dump. I'd rather use the pioneer for just dvd. Bought another Plextor 12/10/32A for cd burning
