Does Vegas Pro V1.0 work with Windows XP?

Hi,
I'm in the process of upgrading my computer and having been using Vegas Pro V1.0 for years...I love it and don't want to change to the newer versions but I need to know whether Version 1.0 is compatible with Windows XP? I'm currently running Windows 98 and I'd like to know if I should be keeping Windows 98 in order to continue running my old Sominc Foundry software.
Thanks for your time,
Shummy

Vegas Pro v1.0 isn't officially supported under WinXP, because obviously it came before WinXP existed. It is supported under WinNT 4.0, and seeing XP is based off of the NT OS, then there's a good chance it will run under XP. I haven't tried it, but I would guess you would be ok.

I'm (still )running Vegas Pro under Windows 2000.Had it worked under XP too(upgraded from w2k to xp,though). You might encounter some 24bits functionality problems...maybe,maybe not, depending on your soundcard drivers..Some threads discussing this and other issues regarding Vegas Pro and W2k / XP :
