I'm very new to Vegas and I'm interested since I saw in benchmark that it scales VERY WELL to multi-cores CPU (the more you have, faster it it). However, what about the GPU? If I get a 2080Ti will it really be faster than a GTX1060? Is there any benchmarks to demonstrate this?
A lot of that comes down to the GPU. Did the GPU manufacturer increase the GPU's compute performance more with the update, or did they focus more attention on the rendering/rasterizing aspect of 3D graphics? In the case of the RTX 2080Ti, they did indeed massively increase OpenCL capabilities, so you'll see a nice jump over the 1060. Also be sure to check out AMD's offerings, as those have always done well with OpenCL, unlike Geforce cards prior to the 20 RTX series.
Il see, indeed the Open CL performance has a role to play. Still I'd be curious to see benchmarks. Damn. Maybe puget system will bench it if someday Vegas becomes popular.
