Does Vegas support TI's DV driver?

Regarding FireWire cards, the Sonic Foundry FAQ's says this:
====================
Important: If you are about to install an OHCI-compliant
IEEE-1394 DV card in your computer for the first time, do
not install the drivers that came with that card. Windows
98 SE, Windows 2000, and Windows Me will automatically
detect the card and choose the correct Microsoft DV device
driver (MSDV.SYS) for you.
======================
On a non-product-specific Digital Video Forum website,
several posters are recommending using the TI DV driver for
Win98SE, rather than Microsoft's driver.

Will Vegas be happy or unhappy if I do that?

Thanks

When installing a new 1394 DV card, we advise that you let Windows
pick the driver for you- there should be no need to use any 3rd party
DV divers.
