Yes, it does. In my experience Vegas is notably more stable
on a dual processor system with Win2K Pro. There are no
settings in Vegas that I am aware of.

If you are thinking about going this route, just be sure
that you do your homework before you switch by making
absolutely certain that _working_ drivers are available for
all your hardware for the OS that you chose to run ... IOW,
read the fine print.

That's good to hear. I've already got a dual PIII 850mhz NT
based system for some 3d software I use. I thought it might
be nice to set up Vegas Video on there aswell, but wasn't
sure if both processors would be supported. At the moment
I'm just running it on a laptop here. It goes well, but can
be a bit slow at times.

Don't expect a noticeable speed increase with dual
processors.

It is the increased stability that comes from the decrease
in peak load on a single cpu that is attractive about
running Vegas on a dual processor machine.
