I'm sure I can remember reading somewhere a long time ago
that it did. Although I can't find any settings for it.
Unless it detects extra processors automatically?
Yes, it does. In my experience Vegas is notably more stable
on a dual processor system with Win2K Pro. There are no
settings in Vegas that I am aware of.
If you are thinking about going this route, just be sure
that you do your homework before you switch by making
absolutely certain that _working_ drivers are available for
all your hardware for the OS that you chose to run ... IOW,
read the fine print.
That's good to hear. I've already got a dual PIII 850mhz NT
based system for some 3d software I use. I thought it might
be nice to set up Vegas Video on there aswell, but wasn't
sure if both processors would be supported. At the moment
I'm just running it on a laptop here. It goes well, but can
be a bit slow at times.
Don't expect a noticeable speed increase with dual
processors.
It is the increased stability that comes from the decrease
in peak load on a single cpu that is attractive about
running Vegas on a dual processor machine.
