Help...desperate. Recently had a PC crash and had to reinstall on a new PC. When I open the video souces, VM sees my Canon camera and I can see the still photos but when I click on the PR001 file, nothing exists except when I right click on the PRG and 'explore current folder' all of the files open in a new window. Unfortuntately I cannot get the software to access them from that window. Any suggestions are appreciated.....

Open the folder via 'my computer' and try to drag the files from there to the timeline. Report to us what happens.

It won't allow me to do that. I can see them by right clicking on the PRG001 file only. When I do that a dialog box opens with all of the files showing that as a location reads: E:\SD_VIDEO\PRG001. It's the only place I can see the camera's video files and they can't be dragged and dropped. Any thoughts? BTW I did drag the files to the desk top and tried to pull them from there but it says the file type is unsupported. All of my settings for the camera are exactly the same as when it was working fine before the PC crash.

Make sure you install the software that came with the camcorder, make sure to install the latest version of Apple's Quicktime Player.
