Dolby Encoder from previous version work in 13?

This is a question for anyone who has upgraded to Vegas Pro 13 from a previous version of Vegas Pro.

If I already have the Dolby encoder and DVD Architect Pro 6 from a previous version of Vegas Pro (and no use for 3rd party plugins from NewBlueFX and Izotope), are there any other reasons to upgrade to the standard version of Vegas Pro 13 instead of Vegas Pro 13 Edit?

For example, will the existing Dolby encoder I have from a previous version of Vegas Pro work in VP13, or is it locked to a specific version?

Thanks.

Your existing one will work.

I understand that the Dolby AC3 encoder is actually associated with DVD Arch, not Vegas, but I have found that the version of DVD Arch must match the version of Vegas in some way. I think what I found was that Vegas 9 required DVD Arch 4.5 or 5 in order to render AC3. Version 5.2 was not suitable. I expect that DVD Arch 5.2 will suite all versions of Vegas since 10 came out. Version 6 of DVD Arch was a free upgrade to give 3D.

If in doubt, install a trial version and test for yourself.

I currently have all versions of Vegas installed from 9 and versions 5, 5.2 and 6 of DVD Arch.

Thanks!

Also, I did install the demo, but did not want to assume it be exactly like the demo as some things are different in the demo.

If it works in the demo mode it should work in registerd mode.
