First I tried importing a DPX sequence I'd created elsewhere. Pretty much just got black.
Tried a couple of other test files from the web, same result. All look correct in AE.

I just tried exporting a DPX sequence out of V9 and importing it. That seems to work and looks correct. AE CS3 is having issues with it, will not even let me look at it.

The standard DPX files I've been trying I'm pretty certain are Cineon (0=19, 100=685). I don't know what Vegas is doing or expects. I can find nuthing further which is rather frustrating, where is the documentation for this feature.

I tried the DPX and OpenEXR. I was able to open the DPX files in Panavision's DPX Reader tool which is what I use for other DPX files as well. I did not try to import them with Avid's Metafuze but will tonight.

There isn't any documentation anywhere that I can find, but I'd really like to get this working.

Got this sorted out. DPX expects linear gamma, and it expects values between 0 and 100 IRE. Should have realized that. I assume EXR is the same.
