Dragging a clip in Vegas causes it to increase in both directions.

Extending the length of a clip in Vegas by dragging it causes the length of the clip to increase in both directions. For example, if I have a 3 minute video clip and trim it down to 1 minute by cutting 1 minute off from the start and end of the clip, and drag the start to add 1 min to it, then the length would increase by 30 seconds to the left and 30 seconds to the right. I have no clue how to stop this from happening or why this is happening.

I'm not exactly sure how to convey this problem, but this is my best attempt.

I just figured out that its due to me adding velocity to the clip. I still don't understand why this happens, I've never had this problem before even when using velocity and the velocity on the clip is constant.

For velocity you have to do the same, but with hold Ctrl key.
