Dragging a Frame

I'm new to video editing so please bear with me.
When I drag or move a frame I seem to lose the transition associated with it.
Is there a way to drag a frame and retain the transition.

When you overlap two clips and add a transition, if you move the clip on the right, the transition stays with it, but not the clip on the left. Let us know if that is what you were wondering. Cin

Yes two clips are overlapped and there are transitions on both.
If I drag the clip on the right so that they are no longer overlapping, the transition goes.
However I just noticed that if I drag the right clip back again the transition returns. Perhaps this is not worth worrying about.

There is nothing to worry about in that regard, as that is how this program works. You need an overlap or fade to apply a transition, and the longer the overlap or fade, the longer your transition. There are other programs that work differently, but that is how this one handles it. Hope that helps. Cin
