"draw waveforms and frames" on/off?

is there a way i can turn off the frames but keep the waveforms? and if not can i create a button (instead of going to preferences to turn this feature on and off)?

Unfortunately not.
If you have frames, you have waveforms. If you don't, you lose the waveforms.

If you have Vegas 6, Ctrl-Shift-W will turn them on/off.

how about Vegas 5? any help on writing a script -- maybe? so i can turn the waveform/frames on/off? I'm working on a really long project and sometiems the rebuilding of the frame images takes way too long.

In Vegas 5 you have to go to Options - Preferences to turn them on or off.

None of which I am aware. Scripting can't do it.
