Drawing a mask New to Vegas

I have looked at videos on youtube about drawing a mask in Vegas Movie Studio 8 Platinum. They all show going to the crop and pan area and in the bottom left of the window clicking on a position check box. I don't have that box. Saw someone on Yahoo posting the same question with no response. How do I draw a mask on a video click so another click shows through in that area?

It looks like I just found the answer in another posting. It IS NOT AVAILABLE IN PLATINUM ONLY IN THE PRO VERSION. I can't believe this. I did my research and "saw" it being done (on the web) but those idiots said they were working with the platinum version when they must have been working with Pro.

I'm pissed.

There's a cheap upgrade to Pro on B&H for $120.

Yes, it's a bummer, we only get the cookie cutter.

You could "upgrade" to the Pro version from B&H Photo Video for $129.95.
