Dreaded Render As crash

DMT3 wrote on 8/26/2022, 4:59 PM

I just got done building my new computer and have most software reinstalled. I am loading a project in V19 that was created in version 19 on my old computer. Now when I select "render as..." it immediately crashes and gives me the send information to Magix prompt. Any ideas. I did a reset and this is a new install. Thanks

addition: I started a new project and it crashes on render as still. I have also installed V12 and it does not crash on render as.

NEW INFO: Fixed it. Even though I thought I had all updates for my new Windows installation, I did not have .net 3.5 enabled when I updated. After enabling it, again, I checked for updates and Windows had a .net update. I will leave this here for others to see.

added comment so I could mark as resolved.

Well, it seemed to be fixed but now same issue, crashes as soon as I hit render with a kernelbase.dll error.

Nobody as responded but I will continue conversing with myself. I exported an EDL and opened it in Version 12. I lost the OFX transitions, but it will render in V12 with no problems. I wonder if I go back to a previous build of V19 if that will help. Any ideas?

Installing older builds did not fix it. Looks like I am using V12 until this gets sorted out. by the way, I am using V19 on my older computer running a Q9650 chip with no problems other than speed. My new computer is a 12th Generation i5 and V19 won't render.

Started a ticket with support.

I might have got it working again, I removed Vokouder connector and it is rendering now. Hopefully that fixes it.

lol, sorry to have you conversing with yourself for so long. Glad you got the kinks worked out yourself fa now.

For now, make sure you instead have the latest .net framework installed, which is version 4.8. Along with the latest dotnet runtime 6.0.1.

Are you using the newest versions of the Voukoder installs?

@Steve_Rhoden thanks for the response. I will check the .net. Windows did update them. It is still working so I don't know if I ran an old version of Vokouder connect or if it just didn't like it. Right now I am going to leave it alone.
