Dripping Blood Effect? Ideas?

I've never done this one...

I am working on a project where I am currently using a red solid color with increasining opacity to give the effect/thought of blood.

Do any of you guys know how I might go about using a 100% opaque red color, but make it look like it's dripping down from the top of the display to cover the entire display when done?

I do have Red 3GL as well as Particle Illusion 3 if needed.

Thanks for any ideas you may have!

Why not shoot a matte pouring some thick, opaque liquid down a piece of glass? Seems that I recall Kelly doing something like this.

Blufftitler has various horrible blood dripping from animated text presets - you might be able to just use the blood particle layer to get the effect you want.

The pouring liquid down the glass thing is a good idea. I may actually do that. (I currently have a bunch of paint that I am throwing out.)

Also, I actually own BluffTitler, so I'll take a look at that too.

Thanks guys!

Pixelan SpiceMASTER is good for this. There are several organic transitions that drip down the screen. Just make the incoming clip opaque red.

Ya know, I have that too!

I'll definitely check it out. That may be what I go with.

Thanks again, guys!
