drives don't show up

I burned a nice DVD for the first time with DVD-A, but now when I go into make another project, my drives don't show up, so I can't burn them! What's going on? Other apps detect them just fine.

What "other apps" do you have installed?

Most of the time when the DVD drive cannot be dectected, it is because some other DVD program is preventing it. So, what are the "other apps"?

I have this problem everytime I try -R media. My drive will simply not show up when I go to burn a DVD. Work fine (sort of) with +R media though.

Yep, -R doesn't work. +R and +RW work fine.
