After burning CD and playing in various CD players I'm getting bits of silence lasting about two seconds. It doesn't happen all the time and it's not always in the same place. I'm using CDA 5.0. My CD burner is 32x10x40, I don't know the brand. Thanks
I'd guess it was bad media with lots of errors casuing player muting - audio CDs player interpolate on errors up to a certain level, above which they momentarily mute.
Could be bad media (cheap or otherwise) , a bad writer, or an unlucky combination of writer and media (some bits just don't go well together, whatever the 'quality' of each part), or related to the writing speed. I find 8 x is 'safest'.
