Certainly, there's a drop shadow, b!

Select the text box in the Workspace panel and click on the "S" button at the bottom of the panel. If you click on the drop-down menu on this button, you can even customize the drop shadow effect.

Well damn!

I searched the help, and it brought up the Edit Text topic. I thought I had read the whole thing and not seen Shadow, but ... as we say here in Texas, "If it had been a snake, it woulda' bit me!"

So when is your book going to be available? I will certainly be a customer.

Thanks for the encouragement, B!

I'm now spending full time on it, and we hope to have it to press by some time early or mid April.

Anything in there about changing the length of multiple events (to the same length) at the same time. This can be really handy, especially in a "slideshow" type video. It was something I used a lot in Studio, but I have not found an equivalent for it in Vegas.

It's very easy in a picture or video compilation, B.

Just select all of the slides or video clips in the compilation window and then go the Compilation Properties panel and, on the Slide page, set the length. Since you have all of the items selected, the numbers you type in will apply to all of the items at once.

I haven't tried a compilation in DVDA ... just Menu projects, but I forgot we are in the DVDA section. I was thinking about how to do it in Vegas.
