I have a Dell Pentium III 933 Megahertz PC with 384 MB of
RAM, a 40GB 7200rpm hard drive and is running Windows ME. I
had Vegas Video and Video Capture on it, and it always
worked perfectly, with no dropped frames.
I just recently reformatted the Dell's hard drive to clear
up some errors, and I reinstalled Vegas Video and Video
Capture. Now, however, it's dropping frames upon capture.
It doesn't capture at 29.97 frames per second, it captures
slower than that (sometimes 20 fps or so, even less), and
it drops a lot of frames.
Is there any way I can clear this up? I already did the
Troubleshooting. Nothing seems to help. Everything is
working fine. I just defragmented the hard drive for the
second time.
