Dropped Frames

I've tried capturing to all my drives on the computer with frames dropping like crazy. When I capture to my C drive there is no problem. Any ideas?

Descibe each drive for us.

Ie: C: is a 7200 RPM SATA
D: is a USB etc.

Running virus / antispam software?

Most dropouts have been simply dirty heads and a simple cleaning resolved.
